We fully embraced the cream of London's parklife this weekend, with Hampstead Heath on Saturday and Greenwich on Sunday. The best bit? Parklife is the ultimate in thrifty credit-crunch living, not that you feel the slightest bit frugal when you're too busy frolicking on the heath, enjoying the princely views, and feeling smug about wearing a t-shirt and eating ice-cream in mid-October.

What are you going to do with the chestnuts? After reading “Lost Desserts” and seeing a miniature version in a new-ish patisserie in Singapore, I want to try making the classic Mont Blanc.

Wow, I’m impressed. I’m nowhere near as adventurous. Considered roasting them, but they’re looking kind of cosy nestling in a bowl on the coffee table! xx

I love Autumn – my favourite season! The photos capture it beautifully!

Love views of Greenwich, chestnuts bring back memories. The ice creams look delicious, hope they were!
