Wee finds: The latest Target collaborations

Have any of you seen the latest Target designer collaborations in the States?

I'm positively swooning over the rather brilliant Thakoon resort collection, which features his signature Shibori print at ultra-affordable Target price points. Loving the beach-ready frocks and floral-print bikini – which are almost imaginable from the depths of a freezing London winter … roll on, spring!

The Hayden-Harnett accessories collection is also quite impressive, with this smart envelope-style clutch for US$29.99 and a range of totes and umbrellas in a vibrant leaf print.

And these bejewelled flats by Sigerson Morrison are also a great buy at US$29.99 …

And I've now discovered that the guys over at Apartment Therapy have just previewed the upcoming Orla Kiely homewares collection, which translates beautifully for Target and features some amazing ceramics. I'm also loving the tiered serving tray and the retro barkcloth-style print.

Why why why can’t we get this stuff in the UK?? I move house in 2 weeks, I have NO stuff, and all of the Orla would be perfect for my kitchen!!

Tor – I know, I feel your pain. The Orla collection hits stores in February, and it will most probably be available online. Do you have a friend in the States who could take delivery and send it onwards to your home address in the UK?
Emski – It’s weird there’s no Target in the UK, isn’t it? It would go down a treat in our high street.
Jafabrit – That’s one cool daughter you’ve got there.
Make Do – I love the Shibori print on the dress but I think I’d also go for the tee which would be quite versatile.
Jae – Too true. Target’s collaborations have been a little off in recent years, but the latest collections have been such good value.

Orla stuff is tres Brady Bunch. Reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchenwares… in a good way.
I’m in the states until Feb. Definitely going to grab some Orla gear before my trip back.
