Bird is the word: A week of giveaways

IMG_1544

Very exciting news: today marks Wee Birdy's second-year blogiversary, and to celebrate, Australia's very own pop artist/journalist/crafty chick (and dear friend) Gemma Jones, has designed an exclusive limited-edition Wee Birdy print. Check it out in all its cutie-pie retro wondrousness:

I have 10 limited edition 'Bird is the Word' prints up for grabs, each hand-signed and dated by Gemma.

To be in the running for one of Gemma's (extremely collectable) prints, just leave a comment below telling me about your favourite Birdy pick. I'll use one of those random number generator thingies to choose 10 winners. Just be sure to leave your email address so I can contact you if you win.

Thank you, Gemma! (And if you like her print, you might like to:
- check out more of Gemma's work;
- read her stories for The Vine;
- follow her on Twitter; and
- read her crafty blog)

I love them all, but I especially love the Bird Drawings by Rob Clarke

Littala birds. Not sure which of them though ;-)

gemma is a gem

My favourite birdy pick is always anything by Alex Monroe! most recently the Coutts jewllery week.

Also loved the bus stop pictures by martin Grover and the Thames pin but they don't have birds in them!

Ooh it's today! Happy Blogiversary! Wee birdy is the best!

My favourite Birdy pick of the week has to be the Birds and nest ring by Alex Monroe (with a very close 2nd to Little Doodle's 'Whipped cream bird' print) love love love it.

xxx

I love the jewellery by Alex Monroe, especially the owl designs. I'm saving up!

it has to be Tamar Mogendorff's bird cages, love them!

happy birthday!!

Happy blogiversary! Long may you continue! My Birdy pick would probably have to be the Daydream wallpaper by Hygge and West.

Happy Blogiversary! My favourite birdy pick of the week is Hans Bølling's wooden duck and duckling from the Design Museum shop. They are just adorable. Although all your picks are pretty damn good so it was a tough choice!

Happy blog birthday! Two already (Mine is about to turn one). My pick are the birdhouses - super cute!

Love all of the picks! but especially love the byrdhouses by chris eckersley

my fave pick are the matchbox tweeters :)

Shere Design's Ring for me please, oh, its soooooooooo subtle and VERY chic*
I'm from South London orginally LB, been here though a few years.....LMK if you need any tips but sure you have it all sorted by now*

Happy 2 to you!

EASILY the Rob Ryan umbrella. I adore RR, in a fit of largesse I bought one of his limited edition Tatty Devine 'Every Type of Tear' necklaces for a friend. Crazy. What was I thinking? Every time she wears it I want to snatch it off her and keep it for myself.

On a related note, have you seen his Tatty 'bird' related limited edition necklaces. Swit swooooooo.I particularly like the 'this bell will ring when you hold me in your arms' one. Sighs dreamily and exits left, followed by a bear.

Happy Blogiversary, Top Bird!

I think my favorite pick would be the Alex Monroe jewelry you post about here... makes me want to buy several of his pieces!

It has to be the Rob Ryan goodies on sale in Japan (still saving my pennies for the plane ticket!)

The paper artist Helen Musselwhite and I loved mixwit as well.

Happy Blogiversary! The paper sculptures - especially the 'Always and Forever' one have to be my favourite Birdie picks. Although I only got into blogging about 18 months ago so there's a whole 6 months of birdie picks I've yet to see!

Anything by Rob Ryan-his work always makes you smile on a rainy day- as does wee birdy!

Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! LLGxx

I enjoy all your postings, but was blown away by the Martin Grover prints. I would never have come across them otherwise and was so happy to discover his work. Happy birthday and enjoy your next year!

Happy Anniversary! :D
Anything by Rob Ryan (The stuff from Japan is even more beautiful than it is the photos! Hopefully it will be in the shop at some point! :D )
xoxoxo

What lovely cards.

It was the RSPB birdy Christmas decorations for me. Delightful!

So many gorgeous things but loved the Enamel Bird Pendants by Kirstin Ash

My favorite birdy pick is the wooden duck and duckling. x

Happy Blogiversary, Top Bird!
Does it mean we've "known" each other for the same (maybe slightly shorter) length of time? Wow!
The print is so cute! But too many top Birdy Picks to choose from...hard to pick a favourite...I'll leave it to your other readers.
Have fun with the celebrations! xxx

Oh those prints are just perfect. Happy Blog-i-versary to you.

My favourite pick so far has to be those gorgeous birdie baubles. I loved them.

The Matchbox Twitter is the best birdy stuff i've ever seen :)

I love Tamar Mogendorff's bird houses! So adorable!!

Happy birthday!!!
My favourite is the condom dispenser by Susanne Hanggaard.
xxx

Got to say : Hans Bølling's wooden duck and duckling.

And not just because I share homecountry with the wee wooden ones. I love the story !

Actually, there is a real famous (well, in Denmark anyway... ) print as well to illustrate the story.

Gosh where to begin, all very inspiring and given my new found birdie obsession over the last 18 months - yes it has been that long - it is hard to choose between the Australia inspired options i.e. Collette Dinnigan, the genius of Rob Ryan or the birdie pick of the week from candles to wallpaper and more. But I'm going to go for Fifi Lapin in the Marc Jacobs dress!

Favourite birdy pick? it's got to be Hygge and West's Daydream wallpaper - so beautiful, I want to cover my entire house in it...

xxxx

ooo a difficult decision I like them all for different reasons. That being said I think the bird stamps are great.

many happy returns for your blogiversary! love love love a wee bit of wee birdy - such a sweetener in my day! anyway, am loving anything alex monroe - so that would be my pick xo

One of mine was the pretty Blouse from Whistles with the bird and umbrellas. I got the blouse the other day....but I cannot fit in to yet. I will leave use it as an incentive to eat less chocolate....

I'd love to paper my niece's nursery in rolls from Hygge & West. She's not yet two, but we share our love of wee birdies.

Oooh, the Osprey, Kingfisher, Yellowhammer and Thrush illustrated by Present & Correct for their beautiful Alphabet of Endangered Species of the British Isles poster. How lovely?!

Happy blogiversary and I wish you many more years of happy blogging. I love reading your blog, it is so cute.

Got to be anything by Alex Monroe - Happy blogiversary

I totally love the photo of the daydream wallpaper with the yellow gumboots...its like you can climb into those boots and with magic can walk into that scene in the wallpaper, somewhere I can climb into whenever I need some time out from the world. i'm picturing myself walking around in that daydream right now!

Hello chickens, the comp is now closed.

Thanks for all your entries! Winners will be announced on Monday, good luck!

Hope you all have a great weekend. xx
