British designer Orla Kiely’s second collection of shoes for Clarks has just arrived, and they’re the perfect combination of retro 60s styling with big-time comfort.

If you fancy getting your hands, er feet, on a pair or two, you had better move fast. These wee beauties aren’t going to hang around for long, with their London Fashion Week pedigree and high street prices.

The capsule collection consists of six different styles in different colour ways. The attention to detail throughout the collection is signature Orla Kiely; think punched holes, contrasting trims and 60s-inspired oversized buckles and buttons.

Combined with the comfort of Clarks Plus cushioning and leather inner socks, these kicks look like they’ll go the distance in your winter wardrobe.

My top pick is the super-versatile Dora shoe loafer, £110, which combines patent and faux pony leather with oversized button details. They’re are also available in black and ochre.

I also like the Dorothy Mary Janes, £110, which have sensible mid-heels and punched hole details. The navy patent shoes are particularly lovely, but they also come in a dark brown and black.

You can see how well the shoes work with Orla Kiely’s retro-inspired, girlish fashion collection for autumn/winter 2014. I’ve featured some of my favourite looks below – purely for your weekend viewing pleasure.

Featuring a colour palette of typical autumnal shades of browns, rust and moss green, the occasional pastel (via pale pink, lemon and dove grey) adds an unexpected twist.

This season’s new love affair with high-waisted, slim-line cropped trousers is also evident throughout the collection. Be inspired by the way they’re styled for Orla Kiely’s look book and wear them with a heeled Mary Jane, tights (or knee-highs) and a fitted sweater or cardie.

If you haven’t tried on a pair of high-rise, cropped trousers or jeans recently, you might want to give it a go. I reckon you’ll be surprised by just how good they look!

Good to know they will be comfy isn’t it!? 🙂

    • Kate

My toes would love these after a long day at work.

    • Jess

Oh my god! They look so cute!! And super comfy!!

    • CateB

Oh dear God, I’m ruined. Here I am in a Sydney Spring fending off the lure of all good things Gorman, and you come along and show me these!!! I love the Dotty ones. Love the fact that made by Clarks. Tick. Love the sneaky Orla Kiely pattern underneath. Tick. And lastly love the heel to platform ratio. Is there such a thing I hear you ask? Its calculated scientifically. Take the height of the heel and subtract the height of the platform = not too much rise = Comfort. Tick.Tick. Tick.

    • Jennifer

They are gorgeous! I’ve been looking for a heeled winter shoe I can wear socks with that aren’t boots!! (How can you wear loafers throughout winter without socks people???) Anyway…any ideas on how to ship those beauties to Australia?

    • Jennifer

Oh and just had another look. Love that black dress with big white daisies. So gorgeous dresses and shoes. Yay!

      • Jenbug

I love that dress too…adding to wish list!

Which is my favourite?! Why all of them!!! I couldn’t choose.

    • Jenbug

I am indeed an Orla Kiely fan. Usually homewares…but this is VERY exciting!! *runs to Clarks immediately* I think the Dorothy shoes are my favourite, but I really can’t decide. And with these gorgeous shoes one would need a new outfit. Love the black dress with classic Orla Kiely flowers on and all of the coats are cute!
