Frock on Friday: Reformation Sandra Dress
This is the gorgeous dress I keep coming back to on my Pinterest fashion board. And the brand that I keep coming back to online. It is, of course, from Reformation – the cult LA brand whose genuine eco-friendly credentials and ultra-feminine designs have resulted in incredible Insta-fame.
The Sandra dress, the object of my current desire, is a signature Reformation wrap maxi dress, with a deep v neckline and a high slit. While Reformation loyalists (and long, lean and younger figures) may shriek in horror, I would need to adjust the neckline to make it bra-friendly, but I can’t get past the rosy-pink fabric, 40s-style pin tucks and fluttering cap sleeves.
Perfect for upcoming Christmas parties, you’ll be interested to know the frock’s exact carbon footprint. Refinery tells us that in the production process, the Sandra dress released 20 pound of carbon dioxide (compared to industry standard of 32 pounds); 393 gallons of water (compared to industry standards of 434) and created 1.3 pounds of waste (compared to industry standard of 2.5 pounds).
Go on and swoon already.
